SMS Text Messaging

 

Terms of Service

  1. Summit Pacific College (SPC) provides updates for students and faculty via text message to provide public health and safety information to ensure our SPC community remains informed.

     SPC also send updates to friends and interested parties regarding events, campus news and opportunities for financial support of the college.

     The message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

  2. Interested individuals may subscribe for updates HERE . Currently enrolled students and faculty and staff members of Summit Pacific College are automatically enrolled to receive messages regarding campus security, public health and safety messages.

  3. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP". After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from SPC. If you want to join again, just reply with the word “START”.

  4. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly by contacting the SPC Help Desk or by calling or texting (236) 233-8808.

  5. If you have concerns or complaints about how this service is being used, please contact the IT Director directly at rmcintyre@summitpacific.ca or (604) 851-7228.

  6. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
