Student Life Objectives

The Student Life Department’s objectives are to foster Spiritual Formation, Leadership Development and Healthy Community.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION

Students will demonstrate commitment to be growing disciples of Jesus Christ by following both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.  They will see the value of and implement habits of prayer, Bible study, and other spiritual disciplines. Through obedience to the Holy Spirit, students will develop and practice their spiritual gifts in personal devotion and corporate gatherings. They will display Christian values in their relationships and in their appreciation and integration into their ministry.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Students will be prepared to serve with integrity and humility in leadership roles. They will learn the value of vision, creativity and collaboration and will develop the problem-solving skills necessary to function as leaders. This approach to leadership involves nurturing relationships built on trust and empowering others to influence positive social change.

HEALTHY COMMUNITY

Students will be intentional in developing an environment of trust, care, and respect towards others. They will demonstrate commitment to the well-being of others and recognize the importance of interdependence through participation in relationship-building activities. They will value authentic Christian community and understand their responsibility in the local church and the world.
