Interac Withdrawals: Students can withdraw money from their personal bank accounts using the Interac machine at the Main Office during regular business hours. There is a $20 minimum and a $40 maximum limit per student per day.

Financial Aid: Information regarding scholarships and grants may be obtained from the Enrolment Services Office (Kim Quigley). Information regarding student loans and payments may be obtained from the Vice-President of Finance and Operations (Roger Unrau).

  • The Campus Pastors, Vice-President of Student Services, Residence Supervisors, and several student leaders have completed an Emergency First Aid Course. A list of qualified First Aid attendants and First Aid kits are located in various locations on campus. For medical care, Canadian students must have their provincial health care number. International students are required to pay cash for services and may contact their insurance company for reimbursement. The college does not provide medical coverage. Students are usually covered under their parents’ medical up to the age of 25 depending on the policy. Students are expected to monitor their own health and refrain from coming to school/class if they are ill.

  • Students and faculty are assigned space in the mailbox system by the Main Office in the Academic Building. You may contact anyone on campus via Canada Post using the same address:

    Name
    c/o Summit Pacific College
    Box 1700
    Abbotsford, BC
    V2S 7E7

Students may purchase stamps at the Main Office (cash only). The street address (35235 Straiton Road) is only to be used for couriered parcels.

  • Resident Supervisors and Assistants are upperclassmen selected because of their desire and ability to serve and minister to their fellow students. The RSs/RAs are available to serve as spiritual leaders, friends, and mentors. They function as facilitators in communication and catalysts of ideas and activities in their living environment. As such, they work to build an atmosphere of “community” on their floor. The RSs/RAs are present to see that the best possible living-learning-growing environment exists, and they endeavour to see that it is as free as possible of hindrances that can hamper wholesome residence life.

  • September Airport Pickup: Free shuttle service for new students is provided for pick-up from either the Abbotsford or Vancouver airport. Information regarding carrier, airport, flight number, and date and time of arrival must be emailed to Mark Hawkes (mhawkes@summitpacific.ca) no later than Friday, August 15.

Christmas Airport Shuttle: Shuttle service is provided for drop-off in December and pick-up in January for either the Abbotsford or Vancouver airport. Mark Hawkes must be contacted via email (mhawkes@summitpacific.ca) no later than Friday, November 28 (for departing flights) and Friday, December 26 (for returning flights), indicating the following information: student’s name, date and time (am/pm) for departure and/or arrival, Abbotsford or Vancouver airport, carrier and flight number(s) of all flights (including connecting flights). There is a fee for this service payable in cash to the driver prior to boarding the shuttle to help cover costs.

There is no shuttle service to the airports in April.

  • Additional storage space is available for limited-access and longer-term storage. Keys for the bicycle storage locker are available from the Main Office (DJ Groen). For a nominal fee, returning students may rent storage space for the summer.

  • Vehicles must be parked in designated areas and must display a current parking decal (available during Orientation Week). Students should check with their home province/territory/state insurance policy and with BC laws to ensure that they are covered while attending college.
