PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This program is designed for students who sense God's call to pastor an existing local church or plant a new one. Such ministry requires a solid foundation in Bible and Theology (42 semester hours), introductory courses in General Studies (36 semester hours) and competency in the skills required of a pastor (45 semester hours). This program includes individual and group mentoring.

Fred Fulford brings a wealth of pastoral experience to Summit. Fred grew up in manses on the prairies. During studies at McGill University, he responded to God's call to pastoral ministry himself. After serving as youth pastor in Victoria BC, he and Micki pioneered Mississauga Gospel Temple (Portico) in Ontario (14 years). He then served as senior pastor in Evangel Church in Kelowna, BC for 12 years before coming to Summit Pacific in 1996. Fred and Micki have two adult children of their own, JP and Rachelle.

Thanks for visiting my page. I can't think of anything Canada needs more than God-called, Spirit-filled pastors. Jesus sees Canadians like he saw the crowds of his day - "lost and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." There is nothing more fulfilling, demanding and worthwhile than responding to His call, knowing that your have been well equipped for this awesome task. Join us! Follow his call!

PASTORAL THEOLOGY DIPLOMA PROGRAM

Summit Pacific College offers three diploma programs: The diploma programs in Pastoral Theology, General Bible and Church Ministry consist of 90 semester hours of required and elective courses. The Pastoral Theology major is for those students called to full-time ministry and who desire the minimum formal Bible College education required by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada for ministerial ordination. The General Bible major is designed for those who want sound training in developing their skills for Christian service, but who have no call to full-time ministry. The Church Ministry major is designed for those whose primary ministry in the church is education and teaching.

Pastoral Theology Diploma

Those who graduate from this program will have a sound preparation in Bible and Theology (30 semester hours), Practics (36 semester hours) and General Studies (24 semester hours). This major is for those students called to full-time ministry and who desire the minimum formal Bible College education required by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada for ministerial ordination. The two semesters of Pastoral Internship (3 semester hours) will help to provide students with an understanding of the methods and skills needed to succeed in the ministry.
