Summit acknowledges the experience of residence living as a valuable part of a student's education. Students living in residence form lasting friendships and grow in their understanding of themselves and other people. They usually have more opportunity to interact with faculty and staff and are more involved in extracurricular activities.
Understanding that the residence experience is conducive to the education of the total person, all single, full time students under 25 years of age are required to live in residence unless living with their parents, legal guardian or close relatives.
Students wishing to live off campus must receive prior authorization from the Dean of Students by submitting an Off Campus Living Request Form, available from the Student Life Office. Students are strongly advised not to enter into an off-campus lease agreement before obtaining approval. Having a lease in place will not be a factor for consideration of a request. Students may not live with a member of the opposite sex other than their spouse or family members.
- Omega students are required to live on campus regardless of age, except with approved Appeal.
- The college reserves the right to revoke off-campus living privileges of students under 25 years of age at any time.
- In order to qualify for residency, students must take at least 12 credits during the semester.
- Students taking less than 12 credits may petition the Dean of Students to live on campus as part-time students.

Residents need to provide their own bedding (twin bed) as well as non-abrasive cleaning supplies and toilet paper for shared washrooms.
Due to limited space, items such as refrigerators, TVs or microwave ovens supplied by students are not permitted.
When rooms are vacated at the end of the semester they must be left clean and undamaged. Costs incurred for damage to room, dorm or apartment buildings will be deducted from students' security deposits.
Rental Agreements For Married Couples
A written request with deposit for a one or two bedroom apartment is to be submitted to the Business Administrator and is considered on a first come first serve basis.
