This program is designed to give the student a well-rounded college education with a sound preparation in Bible and Theology (51 semester hours), Biblical language emphasis (12 semester hours), as well as a foundation in Practics (18 semester hours) and General Studies (51 semester hours).
An aptitude for the study of Biblical Hebrew and/or Greek is a prerequisite for enrolment in this program. Students who desire to continue their education at the graduate level will find this major attractive.
BIBLICAL THEOLOGY MAJOR - 24 semester hours
- 6 Credits - Beginning Greek or Hebrew
- 6 Credits - Intermediate Greek or Hebrew
- 3 Credits - Research in Theology
- 3 Credits - Exegetical Methodology
- 6 Credits - Elective hours in Bible and Theology
To meet PAOC credentialing requirements you must opt for as open electives or additional credits:
- 3 Credits - Local Church Leadership
- 3 Credits - Pastoral Ministry Internship

OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program the student shall be able to:
- demonstrate a broad knowledge of the Bible and its major themes;
- use proper hermeneutical, exegetical, and homiletical skills in the exposition, teaching, preaching, and application of Scripture;
- do sound Biblical, historical and systematic theologizing;
- develop and demonstrate an authentic Christian world view;
- practice basic Christian life skills which include spiritual disciplines, evangelism, church ministry and cultural discernment;
- nurture a godly, Spirit-filled, ethical lifestyle; and,
- advance confidently and successfully to seminary or graduate school studies.
