Omega Global Ukraine Ministry Trip 2006
The 2005-06 Omega Global team travelled on a Ministry trip to the Ukraine.
You can view their reports and pictures of their experiences here.
Ukraine
In Ukraine, the aftermaths of both independence and the Chernobyl disaster still have tragic impact on them. Poverty rather than riches, has been the outcome of freedom for many. Here also, the vacuum left by Communism has often been filled with violent crime, breakdown in family structures and sexual immorality leading to the AIDS virus which is rapidly spreading in an already shrinking population.

In the midst of this atmosphere our Omega Global team hopes to meet some of the needs of Ukraine through street evangelism, mercy ministries with the poor and senior citizens, children's ministry, orphanage work, and hospital visitation. We will also be following up a trip we took to Ukraine in the school year of 2002/03. We worked with a church plant that had 150 members and today the church has grown to over 600. At this time over 40 of the church's leaders are being trained as further church planters so that another 40 new churches can be planted. Our team has the priviledge of once again working with this church planting network.

Truly the church of Ukraine is being built, what an opportunity we have to see with our own eyes the kingdom of God being established in Ukraine!
