Omega Global Asia Ministry Trip 2002
The students and leaders from Summit's (WPBC) Omega Global program (2001-2002) left on their Ministry trip to Asia on Saturday, April 27, 2002. Their reports and pictures as they travelled in Asia are posted here. They were in three areas:
China: They mountain biked along the southeast coast of China. They travelled through rural villages that seldom see outsiders. What an exciting cross-cultural experience!
Macau: They helped out at an existing Pentecostal church led by Pastor Patrick Lau. They emphasized intercessory prayer through the city. They prayed around the many casinos in Macau as well as the government and police buildings. They also be ministered to the local Philippino community by doing Bible studies and visitation. Our teams also ministered in drug rehab centers and local schools.
Hong Kong: In Hong Kong we worked alongside Asian Outreach, a very reputable missions agency that goes all over the world. In Hong Kong God has opened incredible doors including schools. They taught English and Canadian culture in the schools in the hope of sharing the Gospel through friendship evangelism. They also did street evangelism, church services, hospitals, and youth work.
