By giving to Summit Pacific College, you are participating in the ministry of transforming the students of today into the leaders of tomorrow. Your support ensures that we can continue to offer quality Biblical higher education.

Thank you for partnering with us.

Some of the areas where you can become involved through donations are:

General Operations | donate towards the general operating costs of the college (includes salaries, utilities, supplies, etc.)

Building Fund | Some may know that we have recently re-wrapped our entire chapel. This lovely building, built in 1986 fell victim to the infamous "leaky condo" stucco that hit the building industry hard for a number of decades. The lightweight stucco was not tested in extreme rain such as BC experiences, and was considered the stucco of choice by all builders at that time. However, through the generous support of a bequest, we were able to complete the $250,000 project without affecting our Operating Budget or making an appeal.

However, the same problem is plaguing our 25 year old Library. Moisture is seeping slowly through outside membrane of stucco and rotting the structure, putting our large collection of books at risk. We've already repaired the west stairwell to the basement as we were in jeopardy of losing the windows and roof over that section. We are wanting to go ahead with a project to re-do the remainder of the outside envelope as well as the old roof and skylight.

Your support in preserving this valuable part of the college is sought. If you would like to help with this project, please consider any of the options listed to the right.

Endowment | the interest generated by our endowment fund is put towards bursaries and scholarships to help offset the cost of education and lower the debt load of our graduates. To date we have just over $1,000,000 in the endowment fund, and are endeavoring to increase this to $ 2,000,000. A gift of any size is appreciated, and a gift of $ 10,000 or more allows the donor to name the endowment in honor of a loved one, pastor or friend. Donations may also be made directly to the scholarship and bursary fund.

Wills and Bequests. Gifts by will to Summit enable individuals to make significant gifts they may not have been able to make during their lifetime. Bequests to Summit, whether unrestricted or designated, are eligible for tax receipts. Tax credits can be used against 100% of the estate's net income in the year of death, and any excess may be carried back to the previous year.

Gifts of Shares. Gifts of securities or shares are ideal donations for individuals who have much of their finances tied up in investments. Summit is happy to accept donations of securities or shares, and the tax benefits of this type of gift - especially if the shares have appreciated significantly - can be surprisingly high.

Gifts of Life Insurance and Pension Assets. Life insurance can be a convenient and cost-effective means of making a significant gift. Through a small annual contribution to a policy that designates Summit as the owner and beneficiary, the donor is able to make a substantial gift without depriving the family or depleting the estate. Premiums are paid directly to the insurance company and Summit issues an annual gift-in-kind receipt.
